Job Description:
A company is looking for a Life and Disability Group Insurance
Underwriter.
Key Responsibilities
Manage an assigned book of business to achieve profitable growth,
persistency, and earnings
Conduct new business and renewal underwriting for various insurance
products and perform risk assessments to develop premium rates
Develop strategic recommendations related to market competition,
product offerings, and pricing, while mentoring less experienced
underwriters
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
3+ years of relevant underwriting experience in Group Life,
Accident, and Disability insurance
In-depth knowledge of rating, products, and financial aspects of
insurance
Strong understanding of risk factors influencing market
conditions
Ability to foster strong working relationships and effectively
communicate complex ideas
