Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding Specialist to assist in the
accurate coding of patient medical records.
Key Responsibilities
Code and abstract patient encounters in accordance with ICD-10-CM
guidelines
Analyze medical records for documentation deficiencies and
compliance with regulations
Educate providers on coding practices and submit charges to
payors
Required Qualifications
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification required
Experience in Pediatrics required
3 to 5 years' experience with physician office billing and
coding
Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10
Previous experience with Medicaid and commercial payers
