This Dispatch Manager/Call Center Manager Position Features:



The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the Transportation industry with top notch communication skills. Day-to-day this person will be supervising Class A drivers and ensuring on-time deliveries and overseeing other departmental duties, while ensuring compliance with DOT and company policy. The ideal candidate will need to have a stellar work ethic (including working overtime when needed), be an open-minded team player, and have solid attention to detail.


Our experienced drivers deliver natural and organic food products to our customers throughout the region using a multi-temperature company fleet that is equipped with the latest transportation routing technology.



RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


? Direct drivers in everyday activities (routes and back hauls)


? Train and reinforce compliance with company and DOT policies


? Make all resources & tools required for daily operations available to the direct reports


? Advise drivers of hazardous driving conditions, store delivery requirements and route changes


? Conduct team meetings to promote communication, commitment and team building


? Monitors attendance and time off of direct reports


? Review and approve safety improvements and minor repair


? Maintain all DOT files


? Schedule maintenance for equipment


? Maintain routes in time and cost efficient manner


? Maintain Pre-trip and Post-trip vehicle maintenance, registration and violation files


? Maintain back haul history and pallet exchange program


? Track renewal dates for medical card and license renewals to ensure compliance


? Vendor communications (address, appointments and pickup requirements)


? Notify purchasing of any address changes or pickup difficulties


? Inform Shipping Department of any loading changes or special loading requirements


? Works closely with Order Department to route new customers
