Job Description:
Metal Manufacturing company in the Fontana area is looking for a
Plant Manager to add to their growing team. This is an excellent

Job Summary:
In conjunction with CEO, plans, develops and implements standard
operating procedures, goals and objectives to obtain optimum
efficiency of operations in order to maximize profits by performing
the following duties personally or through subordinate
managers.
They are looking for candidates that have experience with casting
pits, cast tooling, cast house, aluminum, scrap and prime
inventories, furnace, and billet and Ingot casting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
?Coordinates activities of operations departments, including Billet
Production, Ingot Production, Engineering and Maintenance, Quality
Assurance, Shipping and Receiving, and Fleet to optimize
operational effectiveness and efficiency.
?Works with administration departments (Accounting, Traffic, Sales,
and Purchasing) to coordinate effective delivery of products and
customer services.
?In conjunction with the Human Resources and Safety staff ensures
the highest safety performance standards are met.
?Analyzes organizational structure for operations departments and
suggests structure changes as necessary to achieve organizational
effectiveness.
?Assists department managers with goal setting and departmental
metrics of performance.
?In conjunction with operation's department managers, analyzes
departmental resources and helps draft budget proposals to complete
needed project improvements.
?Conducts formal performance evaluation of operations department
managers and provides continued feedback of performance throughout
the year.
?Organizes personal development plans for operations department
management.
?Participates in project teams, steering committees, and other
leadership roles as needed.
?Responsible for controlling manufacturing cost and scrap
utilization.
?Analyzes cost reports and initiates cost reduction projects or
corrective action where necessary.
?Makes various daily random inspections of the facility to verify
operations are performing correctly. Items such as housekeeping,
maintenance, organization, safety, production, quality shall be
observed and commented on to the appropriate department
managers.
?Performs other duties as assigned by senior management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have a Bachelors or graduate degree in Business Management,
Business Administration or related field, or a combination of
education and experience equal to at least 10 years in
Organizational Management or Business Administration. We are an
