• Provide leadership and direction for the surgical services department, including operating rooms, pre-op, post-op, and sterile processing.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize surgical services and patient outcomes.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficient department operations.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and utilization of surgical equipment and technology.
• Serve as a liaison between the surgical department and other hospital departments.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in surgical care. Candidate requirements
  • BSN is required; a master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience in surgical services, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • BLS and ACLS certification is required; CNOR certification is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and departmental financial performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
