Job Description Geospatial eXploitation Products (GXP--) is
seeking a principle test engineer to join our Data Reformatting
Service (DRS) team. DRS is a commercially offered product comprised
of pixel processing, image reformatting, chipping, overview
generation, ground-to-image, image-to-ground, and metadata
extraction capabilities.At its core, DRS is batch processing ("job
oriented") toolset used to perform three core functions:
- Image metadata extraction - DRS provides tools to extract
metadata from image file formats, including still and motion
imagery.
- Image geo-location - DRS provides tools to utilize common
imagery geolocation metadata (sensor models) to perform such common
geo-location functions as "image-to-ground", "ground-to-image",
"average ground sample distance", etc.
- Image alteration and reformatting - DRS provides the ability to
produce derived image products by performing common image
algorithms (Reduced Resolution Datasets (RRDS), thumbnail
generation (Browse), chips (often referred to as cropping or image
subsets), quality reduction, and bit depth modification. DRS also
provides the ability to perform format and compression conversions
in conjunction with these algorithms.How you will contribute:--
Bring your passion for pixel processing, mentoring and knowledge to
our small imagery team.-- Design and develop image-processing
algorithms, in C++, for our DRS and SOCET GXP native products.--
Convert native algorithms into web services to support our GXP
Xplorer Platform products.-- Apply your technical expertise to
solve unique and challenging problems.-- Resolve bugs throughout

consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to
perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role,
it will be performed fulltime on site. This will occur at our BAE
Systems facility in Rancho Bernardo, California.Required Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Proficient in a variety of scripting languages: Perl, Python,
Bash, or C-shell.
- Proficient testing on both Linux and Windows.
- Knowledge of common image file formats (TIFF/GeoTIFF, NITF 2.1,
JPEG2000, and JPEG).
- Knowledge of image processing algorithms.
- Knowledge of image compression/decompression concepts.
- Excellent team player, focused on quality product
deliveries.U.S. Citizenship Required. Candidates selected for this
position are subject to a government security investigation and
will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified
information.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks/tools: Cypress,
Postman, RestAssured, EggPlant, or Squish
- Familiarity XML and HTML.
- Familiarity with C/C++, Java.
- Familiarity with the SAFe Agile Framework and agile
methodologies.
- Familiarity with Azure, BitBucket, Git, Google Test, and
JUnit.
- Familiarity with Security+, CISSP, or CSSLP would be a plus.Pay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
